UPDATED!!! We were finally able to get my dad in here and this is what happen! My dad was here for 45 days in March of 2026. We meet some of the greatest people here careing for him and interacting with him making him smile. I wish I would have waited so long to write the review because I for got alot of the names but Jamie in the Rehab center Veronica at station 3 were amoung the ones I can remember. There were way more than that! We had a little pizza part for his last night and thought we were all done, however months later the VA came out with a billing issue and I got involved right away because we are on a fixed income and cant afford to pay a huge bill we did not account for. I contacted the VA and they told me not to worry about it, I thought that sounded a little schetchy so I contated Oakwood Gardens. This is when Maree Papin steped in and got to the root of the problem! For weeks she has been handeling the issue and keeping me in the loop. This is a rare breed of person Oakwood should be proud to have such outstanding staff!!! OUR THANKS GO OUT TO ALL OF YOU AND YOUR TIRELESS OFTEN UNAPPRECIATED WORK!!!! From no starrs to 5 stars! How one bad apple can ruin the whole backet! So, I spoke to Wendy 1 time about moving my dad to this facility on Monday. It is now Wednesday and she is dodging or ignoring my calls! Unbelievably horrible professionalism…..

I cannot get a hold of anyone who will call me back and help straighten out my dad’s financial situation. Speaking with Lisa in the business center she seems very confused. She said she sent me a check weeks ago, which I still don’t have. She has returned checks to me for payment without an explanation that makes sense. I went to her supervisor, Maree, spoke with her once, shared the emails I had received from Lisa – she said she would call me the following week. That was 3 weeks ago. I emailed again, left her 3 voicemails to call me and she has not returned my calls. I then called that facilities administrator, Josh, and left him 3 voicemails about this and he refuses to call me or have Maree return my calls. I just want to find out why Lisa says she sent us a check for 5 months of rent because we don’t owe it, (the check I have never received or deposited) she even sent back one of the checks I sent her that she never deposited, but her explanations made no sense. I just want someone to call me and straighten this out. I’m worried and would like some help.

Our 98 year old mother was at Oakwood for about 6 weeks. The staff there was exceptional. Everyone was so very nice and the physical therapy was fantastic. The food was very good and plentiful. Mom was there after an accident so I don’t know what they charge. Our thanks to everyone there for taking such great care of our mother.

This is a rehabilitation center. Certified nurses assistance (CNA’s) more interested in personal statis then the patience they were trained to take care and assist for.

I had a stroke and without the help of the professional therapist and entire staff, I would never be anywhere I’m at now. Their motivations and encouragement made it happen. I’m forever truly grateful. I’m glad to say that I’m discharging home better than I was when i came in. If i ever need therapy and/or placement in the future, there’s only one place to go…and that’s Oakwood. Thank you all.

Everybody in this facility, from the nursing team to the rehab team took really good care of me. A simple “thank you” doesn’t cover it. I’m glad I came here and if I had to do it again, I would still choose Oakwood. It’s going to be hard to leave. The staff are kind, considerate, and thoughtful. Thank you all so much.

I’ve been a patient here for two months and is preparing to discharge tomorrow. My experience here has been good. This is my first experience in a skilled nursing setting. The therapy team here is very good and I highly recommend this place for those that need rehab.

There’s always a good, bad, and ugly but there’s a lot of positive here at Oakwood. The therapy team is awesome. They’re very attentive and caring. They push you to the limits. The nursing staff is good, as well as the food. Sunny from admissions made my stay worthwhile. She always made sure I was well taken care of. I would highly recommend this place for those who need rehab.

I have my brother and a friend here all the employees are so sweet and kind they treat my family and friends with respect the place is always clean and everyone is so friendly I feel comfortable coming here I haven’t have a bad thing to say thankyou so much for your kindness and hospitality Jess Seaborn and family

I’m currently a resident here at Oakwood. The staff is amazing they take very good care of us. The CNA’s are great at assisting us. Everybody is just great here. I would never go to a different place if I have to go somewhere else. It is truly a home away from home.

I can honestly say the staff here is so awesome, very attentive and genuinely cared about there residents.they took the best care of my mother during her stay here after surgery. me and my family were skeptical at first but after meeting the staff and doctors , nurses here all of our worries went away. The absolute best facility we have been to and would highly recommend this place to anyone. Lastly like to give a huge shout out to Ashley and Jazmine and Amelia who were simply the best ever and went out of their way to make sure my momma was taken care of and comfortable whole time. Thank you ladies sincerely on behalf of the Encinas family for making this rough time for our family that much better. You guys are the examples of what Great medical workers should be and this facility sets the standard 💯

I love the food, it’s very tasty and is like homemade. The staff members have been caring and concerned.

Physical therapy is fantastic and all the staff is great the day crew were great but am not going to lie night group is not good but the hospital it self is great thank you so much

Hi my name is Stella De La Cruz I have Maria the receptionist assisting me with typing out my review I just wanted to say I had a really great experience while here at Oakwood the staff was great, therapy was very helpful, students were also a big help. Thank you to all staff for all your support.

My mom was there for 6 weeks for rehab. While no place is perfect, ours was a VERY positive experience. From the caring administration to the CNAs, nurses and therapists, mom was pretty darn well taken care of! The facility is clean and bustling with energy and activity. There are minor cosmetic issues, but I could overlook them because the staff was great and plentiful! It’s not depressing when you walk in. It’s bright and airy and doesn’t have that “facility smell” that hits you when you walk in, like some other places. Sunny, the admit assistance, has a smile that matches her name. They have a large team of physical therapists who really try to engage and encourage their clients. The doctor rounded weekly, which was excellent and there is a respiratory therapist who also rounds frequently. I didn’t have any problems communicating moms needs, and they really did everything they could to make her comfortable and keep her engaged. The food was hit and miss, but mom admitted she ate things she normally doesn’t. They could use some wheelchair upgrades…sone of them seemed on the worn side, or in slight disrepair. All in all, I would DEF recommend this facility for short-term rehab and wouldnt hesitate having mom there again for rehab!!

Hi my name is Dolores Palacios I was a resident at Oakwood gardens recently I love you guys I was scared and unsure of what my experience would be when I first came to you guys. My recovery went better than expected I’m now on my way home and I couldn’t be happier!! I love you all and will miss you all. Everybody there was so good to me.

Would definitely NOT recommend this horrible prison to anyone. I was NEVER able to get a hold of anyone to check in on my dad. No one ever answered at the nurses station. They just stood around gossiping and laughing, totally ignoring the patients call buttons. If I could give this horrible place a big fat 0, I would!

It’s a nightmare to deliver here. The women in the kitchen are extremely judgmental, they give dirty looks and shake their head every single time. I would recommend avoiding this place if you can.

Love…Love….Love how well my Dad is being taken care of here. Have meet so many caring staff members here. My 89 year old Dad is in Great hands. Sonny appreciate you and all the staff there. Would recommend Oakwood Gardens nursing home to everyone 💝
